Adventure Outdoors - West Coast Hiking Trails - Boiling Springs Lake Took a short hike to Boiling Springs Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Don't let the video fool you, that water is acidic and boiling and will do some real damaged to your body. So heed the warnings and stay on the trail. The trail itself is on a constant incline at a moderate level. You get to walk through some pretty thick forest to get there, so you have beauty surrounding you the whole way there. This didn't seem to be a popular hike, as we only saw two other hikers on the trail, so there is a good chance you will have the trail to yourself.
